Missions Ministry

The Missions Ministry monitors our foreign and local missions’ activity, occasion
ally re-evaluating our giving to those missions and our ability to support that activity. They make recommendations to the Haysville Christian Church elders about any changes to the missions’ activity.

The current missions are Schrage Christian Mission, Manhattan Christian College, Prairie View Christian Camp, and Jaya Sankar –India—Impact India 360.

Information about HCC missions can be found on the bulletin boards in the main hall of the church.

Persons interested in missions are encouraged to join this ministry. Anyone not directly involved is always asked to pray for our missionaries who regularly provide us with information about what they are doing and their prayer needs.

Lord’s Diner

The Lord’s Diner exists to combat hunger in the community. The Diner’s singular mission is to serve a nutritious meal with dignity and respect to anyone who is hungry.

The Lord’s Diner serves an evening meal 365 days a year. A small paid staff, assisted by more than 6,000 volunteers representing many faiths and denominations prepare and serve a hot, nutritious meal in a spirit of compassion, respect and loving service. The Lord’s Diner is currently serving an average of 2,500 meals nightly at two dining facilities (one in downtown Wichita, and one in south Wichita) and three food trucks (one in northwest Wichita, one in southeast Wichita, and one in northeast Wichita), to any guest who needs a nutritious meal – 60 percent of which are families.

Get with Joe Farmer if you would like to get help with the Lord’s Diner.
