Identity

I couldn’t believe it!!! I had only been in Haysville for a few weeks when someone “vandalized” my truck in the church parking lot during the morning worship service. I didn’t even notice the event had occurred until a kind friend pointed out the damage. And sure enough, there it was, a KU Tag on the front of my Ford F-150 pickup. Someone had removed my beautiful K-State Tag and had replaced it with a dirty old KU Tag. I had been driving around Haysville for who knows how long with a KU Tag on the front of my truck.

However, I took comfort in the fact that although my truck might have said KU on the front, I knew the driver and my family inside the truck were still true K-State purple.

That is often how it is with the world, people will always try to put a “label” on you. People at work, at school, and society in general will seek to influence who you are. Know this — the world will keep telling you who you are — until YOU Do.

In His love,
