Built for Beauty

Psalm 149:4 “For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the meek/afflicted ones with salvation.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He makes everything beautiful in its time…”

Isaiah 61:3, “He gives us beauty for ashes…”

Think about the brilliance of the stars at night, creation speaks to us of Beauty! When you focus on a single star you are still awed by its brilliance and beauty.

Have you ever looked at the night’s sky and said, “that star is ugly!” Of course not, each star collectively and individually reflects the glory and beauty of God.

What do you see when you look at a group of people? What do you see when you look up close at an individual? What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you see God’s beauty?

The same God that flung the moon and stars into place, is the same God who carefully handcrafted us into His image… We are the masterpiece of God’s creation. Individually and collectively we show forth the glory and beauty of the One who made us “In His Image.”

God made us beautiful — and through God’s Spirit He empowers us to make beautiful things of our lives.

He empowers us to create beauty in all that we do… Each day has the potential to become a work of art. I can’t wait to see what God’s love & grace will create through us tomorrow…
