AS IRON SHARPENS IRON SO ONE PERSON SHARPENS ANOTHER.
The Men’s Ministry is dedicated to teaching men how to be strong Men of God, and good husbands and fathers. It is also dedicated to influencing, guiding and mentoring young men in the ways of God. The Men’s Ministry is solidly based on the teaching of Jesus Christ.
Our focus is strengthening men for the expansion of God’s Kingdom and we do this by meeting for bible studies where we teach men directly from the Word of God.
We have activities like; Saturday Morning Bible Studies, Sunday evening small group, skeet & clay shoots, axe throwing, sporting events, cars, guns, camping, fishing, hunting and, of course, eating. We eat very well!

Russ has a passion for leading the Men's Ministry at HCC. We would love for you to join us at one of our monthly breakfasts, weekly bible studies, or at one of our events.
After retiring from the Navy after 23 years, Russ moved back home to this area and calls Haysville Christian Church his home. Russ works as a Department of the Army Civilian at the Army Reserve Center in Wichita, and was also elected as the Mayor for the City of Haysville in 2021 for a four year term. Russ has a beautiful wife Shery, three daughters and a son, along with nine grandkids and two dogs (a Boston Terriers and a Great Dane).
