Spring is here and summer is close behind.  Soon we will be getting outdoors to enjoy the many fun and relaxing activities available to us this time of year.  It can be easy to get busy in this season and find ourselves laying aside "first things."

Jesus told his followers to "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." (Matt. 6:31).  I want to encourage you not to neglect those things that feed your spirit - praying, worshipping and fellowshipping with your Christian family.  Times of recreation and relaxation are good but they are not a substitute for our relationship with God and each other.

It is important to stay connected to our church family, worhipping God and studying His Word together.  These are the things that help us grow in our knowledge of who God is, and deepen our relationship with Him.
