Mike's Moment March 2010 |

Spring is here and summer is close behind. Soon we will be getting outdoors to enjoy the many fun and relaxing activities available to us this time of year. It can be easy to get busy in this season and find ourselves laying aside "first things." Jesus told his followers to "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." (Matt. 6:31). I want to encourage you not to neglect those things that feed your spirit - praying, worshipping and fellowshipping with your Christian family. Times of recreation and relaxation are good but they are not a substitute for our relationship with God and each other. It is important to stay connected to our church family, worhipping God and studying His Word together. These are the things that help us grow in our knowledge of who God is, and deepen our relationship with Him. |

February 10, 2010 Brothers and Sisters, Our God gives us life and continues to love us throughout our whole life. As wonderful as that is, we still have our problems. Many of those problems stem from relationships - spouse, children, parents, in-laws,friends, co-workers, to name a few. In his infinite wisdom and understanding God shows us how to have successful relationships. He tells us we are to have the same standard in our relationships as He has. What is that standard He requires of us? It is love - not that world's love but the love of God. God doesn't just suggest we do this, but commands us to love those around us just like He loves us. In order to live as God asks, we most first understand how God defines love. There is a clear definition of Godly love and it is found in the bible in 1 Corinthians 13. By studying this passage of scripture, we can understand God's love. In these words, we discover it is much deeper and requires more than the world's love. We want to invite you to join us on February 14 to start to a six week study on how to understand and live God's concept of love on a daily basis in all our relationships. Please plan to be at worship at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday for the start of something amazing as we learn to love people God's way. God bless and I'll be looking for you. Mike Bradshaw |

A Moment With Mike The church's theme this year is "loving others God's way." We're very excited about the opportunities this theme will provide for us in 2009. We are looking for ways that we individually and collectively can give a "cup of cold water" in the name of Jesus. On March 1st we will start a sermon series and special classes on Sunday morning to talk about and study the Scripture John 3:16. It's a familiar verse to many people. We're going to study it to help us learn about the tremendous love that God has for us. This will help us to "loving others God's way." I encourage you to take time to be part of this study and come on Sunday mornings. Sunday School 9:00 a.m. and Worship at 10:00 a.m. God has created each of us in His image. May we look for ways to demonstrate His love to others by the acts of love that we do. God Bless Mike |

A Moment With Mike As we look back on 2008 we've had some good times and some bad times. For many of us the bad times have come in the form of financial challenges. The economy has caused the reduction of work hours or the complete loss of our jobs. Our savings that we put away for a rainy day and/or our retirement has been hit hard and we're wondering what the future holds.
With all the unrest I've got some good news. God is alive and well and able to meet any need or demand that you and I have in our life. It's in times like these when we need to remember how much we've been blessed in our lives and that our God will not fail us now.
I want to encourage you to stay close to our Lord by worshipping Him, studying His Word and talking to Him. Our Lord wants the best for us. He always has a listening ear, an outstretched hand and good advice to give us. Don't try to go it alone, it doesn't work. We need our Lord's presence and encouraging family and friends around us. May God bless each of us in 2009 Mike |

As the Paster of Haysville Christian Church I would like to welcome to Haysville Christian Church Online. On Sept. 7th - Sept. 28th the adults will be asked to accept responsibility to pray for our teens as God reveals their place in the cause of Christ. Adults will be asked to discover how they can help support our teens in the common cause of Christ together. Teens will be asked to obey their parents in the Lord and study and seek God with all their heart. All of us will be challenged to seek Christ together as one. Sincerly Mike Bradshaw |

Verse of The Day
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” ( Matthew 5:14,16)
